Not A Fan

Jesus is not interested in mere fans.  He doesn't want enthusiastic admirers.  He wants completely committed followers. This study examines what it means to deny one's self and truly follow Jesus.  This group meets at the gym facility of ProBalanced Wellness, 1275 Shiloh Road, Suite 2830. The format is oriented toward men with a common faith in Jesus, and a common interest in strength training. Each meeting includes 45-60 minutes of study, followed by a 45 minute workout led by Doug Yannessa, a certified fitness trainer.

Nehemiah

A verse by verse study of the Book of Nehemiah.  Many years after the Israelites returned to Jerusalem from captivity in Babylon, the temple had been rebuilt but Jerusalem was still vulnerable to attack because the city walls had never been rebuilt.  God called Nehemiah, the builder and leader, and Ezra the priest, the spiritual leader, to rebuild the wall.  How does Nehemiah play a role in Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem 483 years later - come find out.

Jeremiah

The people of Judah had rejected God.  Jeremiah was called by God as a Prophet before his birth.

He witnessed Babylon take the elite citizens of Judah captive and the destruction of the temple. The compassion and sensitivity of Jeremiah gives us a unique picture into what God must feel when He is rejected.
