This fall the women of NMC have a unique serving opportunity that will impact the lives of many teenage girls globally! Days for Girls is an organization that is passionate about bringing dignity to the development of a young woman. Their vision is that every girl and woman, in the world, would have feasible access to quality sustainable hygiene and menstruation health education by 2022. They accomplish their vision by providing young girls a Days for Girls (DfG) kit. All DfG kits are filled with strategically sewn and washable cloth as well as personal hygiene items.
Monday, October 3, NMC will host a sewing workshop held in the Cafe, from 9:00am-9:00pm, to make supplies for these kits. If you love to sew, this is for you! If you enjoy shopping and donating items, this is for you! If you don’t know how to sew, that’s ok, there will be instructors to help teach you. Over the month of September, we’ll be collecting items that will go into a DfG kit and sewing supplies to make items for kits.
There will be donation bins located in the Café Lobby all of September
Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-8:00pm and on Sunday’s from 9:00am-1:00pm.
